Hi all,
Some one backed into my car (while it was parked and I wasn't around) and it twisted the front bumper so the back part moved down and the front part moved up.
Anywho, now I can't open the hood. Is there anyway I can remove the front bumer without opening the hood?
Or, any ideas of how I could get the hood open?
Eventually, I'm gonna need to change the oil. :p

to remove the front bumper you just have to take out the bumper ligths, remove the four bolts behind it, then take out the two screws in each fenderwell.

That is the removal for a hatchback, I believe it is slightly different on a CRX because the CRX has a molded filler piece between the bumper and hood. There might be some bolts under the corner lamps and under hood latch to remove the filler piece which is molded to bumper.
We need a CRX guy out there to confirm this.

yea there are two more bolts underneath the corner lights to remove before the bumper comes off on the crx. but to open your hood, usually if you hold the hood down, while someone pulls the release, then it would pop open.

if not try and get to it from underneath, get your car up on ramps or something

wow, thanks for all the replies. Really, the only reason I need to remove the bumper is to open the hood. The try and fix it so it will continue to open when I want it to.
I'll mess with it this weekend and let you know how it turns out.

theres bolts under the hood, in between the headlights. its where the filler piece would bolt on. but they dont matter, because they attach to a bracket thats part of the bumper support. so taking the bumper off is exactly the same

try the pressing down on the hood, it always works for me when I can't pop my hood :)
