Hey guys. Im looking to replace my stock speakers. I dont want to have to make any mods and want to put the new speakers in the factory spots. I have 2 4" in the front and 2 6x9's in the back. Im not looking for something around 50Watt Rms for each of them.

components would be good, but since you only want to put speakers in the factory sops, i don't think you have much choice, i believe that cdt makes some 4 inch comps. or you could buy some kick panels, and then get some 6.5 inch comps for the front and just replace the back speakers. are you planning on amping them? if not just replace everything with coaxials.....

Go with kicks and 8" koda mids. Get some CDT crossovers, get some cdt IA tweeters 1", mount those in triangle sails... screw rear speakers IMO

well, normally i'd say screw rear fill also, but he doesn't strike me as the type of guy that wants to use kicks, and amps, or maybe i'm off, which is possible :)

well why didn't you say that, lol
get some comps and amp them, screw rear fill, cdt makes good ones, or maybe you could do that koda 8 thing, but i dunno how the koda will do at frequencies above 1k........

not very well, it would work VERY well as a dedicated midbass driver, running from maybe 50-200, with a component set taking over above that.

I don't know how well those kodas would sound playing up in the midrange. I think they're supposed to be SUBwoofers not subs/ midbass ect....I'd ask adire.

They are meant for midbass, not mid range(I forgot no midrange) They weren't made as subs. They will work as subs though.

Posted at the same time sr20 lol.... yea you wouldn't wanna cross them staight to a tweeter. You would need a 5 1/4 or 6.5 between the two.

I just have the 6 speakers in the accord ...... a 5 1/4 mid and a tweet in the kicks and an 8" in each door as the subs. It sounds really good - I only need one 4 channel amp for the whole thing.
