Mustang Tranny Swap

Okay I have a 68 mustang with a 93 5.0 engine and I need to replace the tranny. I can get a 93 lincoln continental overdrive tranny for super cheap. I'm wondering if the dimensions are the same as the 93 stang so it will bolt up right. Anyone know if this will work or what the dimensions on a 93 continental tranny are?

A Mustang AOD and a Lincoln AOD are different dimensions.
