1992 leaking

I happen to own a lovely 1992 Bonneville with the optional sport package. Ive owned the car since 1997 and the car is great. Over the last few years however, the car has had major work done. A slightly used 3800 was dropped in at 160,000 miles. The car came with an L27, but the new engine is an L36. This has caused some interesting problems with the 4L60E transmission. When accelerating the transmission will take a quick second to pause, while the engine revs up, before the car starts to move forward. This feels terrible, because the car JUMPS forward and the tires screech etc. Is this just the trans trying to tell me its on its way out?
Now, the real issue. The front windshield defrost has stopped working. And some type of fluid is puddling in the front and rear passanger footrests! It smells kind of like coolant, but it feels very thin, and it evaporates quickly off the hands, leaving behind no type of residue. What is the fluid, where is it coming from, and how do I fix it?
Some minor issues include...
My remote keyless entry no longer functions
The courtesy interior lights no longer come on when you pull the door handle
The rear trunk pop no longer functions (the one on the drivers door)
The volume key on the steering wheel mounted radio controls no longer functions
If anyone can help with any of these issues PLEASE DO
Thanks Much!

Check the AC drain. It is probably blocked and allowing water to leak into the passenger compartment. If it turns out to be coolant, you will need to change the heater core. I believe that cleaning the AC drain will probably cure the problem though.

Now, where is the AC drain located? Also, Im almost positive my heater core needs replacing too, because my Front defrost no longer functions. ANd, when it is on at startup white smoke comes through the defrost vents!

If you are getting smoke from the vents the heater core does need replacing. The Drain should be located along the firewall on the passenger side. It may have a small L shaped hose on it. Once you find it take a metal coat hanger and run through the opening, if it is blocked that should dislodge any debris in the drain hole.
