Power Door Locks

I have a 1996 Sebring. About 2 years ago the power locks started to have problems. When I went to lock the car from the inside, either side (driver or passenger) only the drivers side would lock, not the passenger side. This happened through the entire summer until the weather turned cooler and then both sides starting working. They work that entire winter and started to fail again when the temperatures turned warmer.
Last summer I took apart the door panel for the passenger side and reseated connectors suspecting the warmer weather may affect proper contact. No help, problem persisted.
Before I take apart the drivers side, I thought I would try my luck here to see if anyone else has seen this problem...............Thanks,

Wow! I had to read your post twice to make sure I hadn't written it. I have the SAME EXACT problem with my '96 LXI. It seemed to work in the winter and not in the summer. This winter though, it won't work at all. Did you figure out the problem?

I have a 96 Dodge Intrepid with exactly the same problem -- any answer?

Sorry JC62, It's winter time in NJ the locks are working. Maybe in the spring. Send a private message to Mopar above. She was attempting to fix the problem and said she would get back to me. Good Luck!

I am having a similar problem with my sebring convertible jxi. The locks will stop working when they want to. I can't make them work with the remote or either door switch. If I keep trying some days it will work and then it will stop again for a long time. It can't be the motor or the seitch because they come back every so often. It has to be a loose connection or something else that controls them. Anyone have a ny ideas where I can look for a loose connection?

epagidasam,
Still no luck here, I just havn't had time to investigate. Without an electrical diagram you are doing a lot of guessing. Good Luck!
