94 Isuzu Trooper Oil Pan

I have a 1994 Trooper 3.2L with SOHC. It's now in need of a new oil pan gasket. Does anyone know if I could simply go underneath and drop the pan or is there more to it than that? Do I need to lift the engine like my 1986 Chevy S-10 Blazer I used to have?
