What Do You Do When You Are Building A Model ???

Bit off topic here.....but what do you do when you are building a kit??

I'f i know i've got 3-4 hours to do a model, i'll lock all the doors so i dont get guests, take the phone off the hook and only have the radio going quitely in the back ground.
I switch myself of totally from the world for those hours....the wife reackons its like being at school and having a maths test......your not allowed to make any noise

usually i try and do a couple of hours everyday and it takes me about ten weeks to finish a model, you can't rush these things.:)

i usually sit in front of the computer.. so if i need anything.. I can always look it up. or chat with another modeling buddy online.

helps get those fingers more relaxed when I'm working with putty...

Put one some tunes or the tv and work away. I get so into it sometimes I don't even hear the tv or stereo.

I close the door and sit at my desk inside my room infront of the computer!~ Surf the web, chat on ICQ, looking through AF, listening to music (Turned on really loud too:D).......awww. no wonder I always screw up my models!:rolleyes:

pretty much the same as G-Forces here started working on the model at 6pm last night and didn't finish til midnight (completely lost track of the time:) )

I always do a step, then go do something else for a bit. Like post here. :D

When I'm painting, and I have to wait 10-15 minutes between coats anyway, I'm usually online.

When im waiting I watch tv, listen to news read, go to school , plat b.net games,working, talking, eating ,sleeping, taking a walk, taking a shower, brushing, teeth washing hands, wearing shoes, tie shoe lace, drinking, driving, studying, cleaning, visiting , moving, typing, planting, chewing, climbing, chatting, running, peeing, frying, shivering , sneezing choughing, sitting, printing setting, laughing, booing, killing, ducking, hitting, star gazing?, parking flying baking, cooking, ironing, thinking, buying, selling, trading, borrowing, tagging, ordering, sweeping, studying, cursing, shouting, cheering, loving, listening, tasting, touching, speaking, drumming, humming, whistling, grabbing, taking, shop, batting, drawing, carving sanding, chatting AF ,................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .............................. :finger:

I watch TV or listen to music, but after some time it´s just me and the model. :D

I sit in front of my computer. First i throw away the keyboard. Then set up a good light, get my paint stuff and i'm off.
When i need to wait, for the paint to dry, i grab my keyboard and turn on the computer.

I'm not in a hurry. Just relax and everything will be fine. (i hope this theorie has some effect on the quality of the model, we'll find out)

What do you do when you are building a model?? Is it me, or does that question answer itself?? :flipa:

Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to go on the computer when I'm doing a model 'cos me little brother is usually occupying that chair. :mad: So I just have to sit back and, well, watch paint dry:bloated:

I usually turn the tv on and hope that I find a show that I like.
