I don't really know if this belongs here(please move it if it doesn't), but my friends & I are starting a car club(as soon as we find a name) and I was wondering if anyone had any advice?

BTW: If the cars make a difference; here's a list:

Me: 99' Dodge Neon
J: 99' Dodge Neon R/T(He had his before me)
C: 95' Integra
L: 97' Civic EX
J: 02' New Beetle Turbo S

We haven't really talked to the rest of our friends yet...

There is a local group that goes by "Balken Stylz"

it is a group of bosnian immigrants with ricey cars.

I have suggested to them that they change their name to pilaf

Are you adopting their speech patterns as well? j/k.

Not to sound rude, but why do you feel a need to start a club? You guys could just hang out together.

Make your name known - Dont have CRAP cars with no power to back up your name - Create a web site - have meets - when you see an awesome car give props - dont be a dick to other racers, unless the other teams in town will start to hate ya - go to shows/ win places or races.

HAVE FUN WITH IT!!

We create a team call TEAMPROJECTONE
our cars include:

B16a Hatch
2 Type R Tegs
Turbo Eclipse
RSX Type R
Boosted 94 Accord
and me with my 04 soon to be K20 swapped

Shutup you *edited*

Don't make fun of bosnian immigrants. A riced out civic is probably the best thing they've ever owned. :loser:

I'm not making fun of their heritage, just the way they modify their cars.

And I'm sure you mean "balkan" not "balken" :screwy:

Make set plans and stick to them... every year my club sets out plans and only a few of us carry out with them. Go to shows. Get your name out. Realize that the club doesn't get sponsored... only individual cars will ever have a chance. Don't get upset if one person gets sponsored, everyone has a time. Don't lose contact with each other. Don't fight over stupid shit. Make sure that you put events first.

What's wrong with a frontwheel drive naturally aspirated inline 4?

Yeah, exactly. Nothing.

i've got a "club".

we're called Suislide. seriousley.

you could say we're a "drift team", but that's not what it's about. we're just a group of friends who like drifting. the main aspect of the club is FRIENDSHIP! it doesn't matter what you drive, or whether you're good or not. as long as we're all friends, have a good time together, and can help each other out of a fix and be there to help each other, that's what it's all about. hell, not even all the members have cars yet (two don't even have licenses yet either. not because they're too young, but because they just haven't gotten around to it yet), but it doesn't matter because we still have fun when we all hang out. there's no "membership" or any way to "join". all you have to do is hang out with us for a bit, earn our trust and friendship, and that's it. we've all known each other for a few years, so we came up with the "team" idea mainly to show everyone (at events and what-not) that we're friends, and we're a tight knit group. eventually, once we all get our cars in order, we'll start to focus more on the drifting. a few of us have competed, and all of us have had our fun in parking lots, but up here in Canada, where the drift scene is sparse, you take what you can get. competitions are few and far between...

My ex was in some car club called Lower Level. He had a black celica and decided he wanted gold mags, so he spray painted the hub caps yellow.
