Huge gains?

What are some HUGE gain mods besides turbo for a n/t Eclipse

yeah for a quick gain n20 is da way ta go .. other than that you gotta force sum air in that mo fo.. i mean come on theres only so much bolt ons can do.. theres a guy making superchargers for the 420a.. but that might fall in with the turbo category..

Not including turbo. Also NOS is stupid and it's cheating. Lol, besides if I asked for mods not including turbo that tends to mean I can't afford and and am looking for other options or I'd go buy one. Which leads me to my next point of not having the money to fix my engine when you spray "nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwws" into it. Sorry for the rant but I get the same response at every forum, No turbo and No nos, bolt ons aren't bad and give you power or no one would buy them...Sorry, I'm an ass and I know it I can't help it though. :rolleyes:

You are looking for something that doesn't exist. There's no such thing as fast without a turbo or nitrous. There sure as hell isn't any fast car that is cheap.

yeah turbo charge it save your money you will need around 3g cuz you have to replace a couple things in the engine so it can handle it. i heard there is some company that makes decent turbos for the 420a.

If I do go turbo where do I get it and can't I find a turbo for less than 2k

Build your own. For under 1700.

read the stick thread on turbochargin non turbos.. its not all that hard and you can definatly put your own kit together for proll 1500-1700 easy.. i think i found all the compnents in a mass price check across the spectrum once for 900 total.. but that was a used t25 so u might want that new.. and then get with rst about a manifold he has the best deal iv ever seen to do em... peace

How the hell is nitrous "cheating"? It's just another option for forced induction, so saying it is "cheating" is just crazy. Also, it isn't NEARLY as expensive as turboing your car. I think around $500 for a good nitrous kit. Just because you use nitrous doesn't mean that you will blow your car up; that's a very common misconception. Just use it cautiously and don't go over a 75-shot on the stock motor.

Asking for "HUGE GAINS" on a naturally aspirated 4banger is like asking, "how can I spend the MOST money and get the LEAST gain from it??". The simple bolt-ons like intake/exhaust will yield SOME gains, but nothing that you will really even feel.

If you got some really agressive cams that would probly give you 20-25hp.

But you should just turbo charge it, I bought a (never installed) used hahn kit for $900. Ive seen other good deals on complete turbo kits for $500-$700. Just keep a eye on ebay.
