Where do you guys get sideways when ur not on track ?
Please post up where you guys tend to get sideways on ur way home or anytime ur not on real drift track, i predict most of drifters on this forum rarely attend track anyways. I got bored of construction areas and gravel parking lots =| ... post! thanks.

lol my friends dad owns a house in a coutryside with a gravel driveway with lawn right up to it, but he gets pissed off when the rocks off the driveway get onto the lawn near it when i handbrake on the driveway, the driver is probably around 150m long S shaped with a circle hairpin on the end lol so u dont have to reverse out, when he leaves we go do that there lol

yeah u can drift but yes it is illigal and if u get caught u'll be hella caught for wreckless driving, 6 demerit points here in canada, makes insurance companies happier then anything in the world cause they raise it lots

yes, most cops patrol these deserted parking lots and such other places because people use them to deal drugs.

Has anybody ever been caught driving wreckless in a deserted parking lot? I can't see why they would really have a problem with it.. a deserted abandoned parking lot that isn't being used... I don't see how it's hurting anything.

Just go to a twisty mountian road and drive it a few times untill you know every turn like the back of your hand. The start to drive more aggresivly down it. Then drift UP it untill you get the feel of the road. This is how I spot a few areas. If you are in Southern Cali, try Boquet Canyon and Lake Hughes Road near Castiac. They're long and cops are only there during the night.

I some times would take the long way home.. :P go on back roads with lots of turns an hills there is this road we call the wiggle waggle road its on a 120 foot cliff with a stone guard rail an its all constant s's awsome road - but needless to say if u fuck up your either hitting a rock cliff on one side or goin for a hell of a ride off the cliff into the Del. River...

i also go into private lake communities when its working hours if i am off a day during the week - i go when people are at work - cause christ the only people left are old people they will either stand out an watch or they are inside an dont hear it cause their damn hearing aides are not tuned properly ,lol so they dont here shit - an in a private area the cops can't patrol - only can come when someone calls them but with everyone at work its a ideal place :P hehehehe

when you have skills then you drift in the snow, unless you have an AWD car, if not, just practice with a snowboard down the hills, shit you dont have to worry bout cops!!!

i have slid and cookied across a parking lot for like 30 minutes last winter before i really thought of it even being illegal. that was fun. in my neighborhood area, there is the main road which curves 90 degrees, so i get my little vic as fast as it can before there and then hear the tires squeel along that curve

gah i actually layed off of drifting due to the illigal factor, once i got in an accident (not cause of drifting) and got 3 poitns cause some stupid whore was yappin on her cell and smashed into me and i got a speeding ticket when the radar picked up some other car but they stopped me for some fuckin reason even though i was just at a red light 2 seconds ago and somehow i was doing 78 =\ and got another 3 points (not cause of drifting) and now i got 6 points which means insurance x 6 = cant afford to get any mroe tickets plus fucking government hired more cops (new recruits are pricks) and now there swarming the whole city and nowhere to drift, cause guess what, they give u a 6 point ticket called reckless driving, although its 2am on december night and im in a park parking lot BUTTT NOOO SOMETHING BAD MIGHT FUCKIN happen, O0o0o0o0o0o, its so reckless, fuckign cops

take the old highways with a lot of turns, when i go to Julian, CA, there's the old highway route which nobody takes, excpet for bikers. And its longer and has more turns, thats where i would drift. But its too far for me, only when i visit my friend over there.

theres cops everywhere, and where theres no cops, theres curbs, and where theres no curbs there trees, and where theres no trees there people that will call the cops, and it goes on in a circle...

Easiest answer, as opposed to promoting illegal activity (not something we condone here on AF) is to locate a local drifting club or organization (like US Drift or the new SCCA local amateur drift outings that are coming into their own) and to drift there.

Take it off the streets, put it on the track. This thread, done.
