civic a/c compressors

I was wondering if anyone out there knows the different types of a/c compressors for 92+ civics? I purchased one from the junkyard, which was a Sanden type, and it did not fit on my car. I was told that all 92+ civic a/c compressors were the same and should fit. The only difference was the type of refrigerant used in 92-93 civics used r-12 and 94+ civics used r-134a. I'm confused whether or not the junkyard gave me the wrong compressor for an earlier civic or if there are different types of a/c compressors for 92+ civics. Please help...need answers.

to the best of my knowledge, parts like that for all civics 1992-1995 should match up. If you use parts from a 96 or greater, you could run into trouble.

im pretty sure that the r-12 and r-134 run on 2 different systems. one needs more pressure or somethign to run. if u can fit a system that runs r134 in ur sys id gofor taht sytem. got o the dealership and ask them if the parts are interchangeble
