Hey i was wondering for a 420a would all i need for internals are rods pistons high flow intake manifold and a head bolt set to boost up to 23 psi or what else? Please i want to know cause i know Jake said 10 psi is the most you can boost at stock i want to know what else to do besides rods pistons and head bolts.

jsut get yur whole engine work on first before the turbo..
bore out your Bottom Block for some new JG pistions & rods set...

Head job.. JE valve & sprints & porting... cam gears and cam shafts.... light weight pulley ( if you want)

Intakemanifold... Polish all out or buy an aftermarket one that is built for turbo

the only 3 major part of the engine work i "think" besides the bolt ons.

I already have the full turbo kit boost controler gauge and i even have my oil lines all made already. My high flow venom intake manifold is coming in soon. Before i go to my friends shop with all the tools and hydrolic lift for the week i want to make sure i have everything including all the internals i need to do my friend has done a bunch of eclipse repairs and moded 2 GSX's himself running like 12's hes going to fully help me out. I just cant decide on what internals i need to do. Cause im going to bore my block and im also going to replace a lot of my gaskets and get a double steel plated head gasket and a bunch of stuff. So im hoping to boost to atleast 23 i was just wondering if anybody else had any tips or information before i left Engine internals i mean any info tips and what i should do.

you could just get a built bottom end, or just get a long rod kit. the reason I say get the kit is that its alot easier to get everything from one source, rather than searching for pieces and hoping they all come in at the same time. I am in the middle of the same thing. got a built bottom end from www.fasterthanyou.com and I am expecting to see a considerable change in the way my car handles boost.
