less than $25000 (Canadian)

I have a friend who is looking for a new car, as in off thelot, he dosent want a used car, unless it's a Skyline, so no point in suggesting it, I suggested he take a look at the Tiburon with the V6 (he wants somthing sporty) but that car is closerto 27 or 28 does anyone have an idea of a new car in that price range, remember it needs to be in canadian, which significantly narrows the available cars,thanks for your help

This puts your friend in the market for cars like the VW GTi 1.8T, the Scion tC, the Honda Civic Si, the Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V, the Tiburon, etc.

Out of these cars I tend to like the GTi, its a nice, light, and fast little car that I think handles better then the rest in this class. But im a little biased towards German cars. Doesn't look as sporty as the Tiburon or the Spec-V, but it grows on you. Also has the biggest aftermarket out of any of these cars except possibly the Civic.

I would avoid the Tiburon if I were your friend. Its not a bad looking car, but Korean reliability is still kinda weak.

with that money i'd get a perfectly mint r32 GTR, right in the price range, and one fast fucking car

But joking aside it will be the fastest new car for that money. Btw with the trade agreement i don't think you have to pay any import taxes if you buy it here.

Anyway the way i see it if you want something fast but uncivilised the srt4 is the perfect choice. If you want slower but more luxurious and civilised get the Scion tC or an RSX.

Scion isn't available in Canada...but I guess he could import it, but thats a lil tricky for a $19,000 car... For that price I would suggest a Pontiac Vibe, Mazda3, or Corolla...with all of those cars their base model is in your price, but you still can go nuts and get the stronger engines in each

I'm a tib owner. They're the best value for your money with a lot of aftermarket support. I went with the six-speed and i love it. As far as reliability goes J.D.Powers rates it tied with Honda for second behind Toyota, plus the 10 Year 100,000 mile warranty is nice too. Oh yeah, it cost $17,700(U.S.) new, fully loaded with the 17" rims and the sport package.

Well, Hyundai is definitely improving, but I wouldn't put them in the same class as Toyota or Honda yet.

actually Tiburon's are actrually rated really high in reliability, the only real problem with them is that the value of the car drops really fast, and even if the car isn't themost solid car all around, it has an amazing bumper to bumper warranty, but the problem is that Cdn the 6 speed car is closer to 29,000 and the 5speed is about 27,000 an RSX type s is over 30 and the base are close to the tiburon, VW's are about 30 here, so now you see my problem lol, any furter insight would be much appricated
