Ok here it goes....
The other day i noticed a missing in my 86 honda accord and i didnt really think much of it...Well then i checked the plugs and stuff and they were fine. Then i put on a new cap and rotor and still it missed. Then i was driving down the road that same day and the i parked the car and then it started up but then died.we could get it going at high rpm but we couldnt keep it started... there was oil on the powersteering reservoir thing and now it wont even start. It will try and kick over but it wont. could anyone help me out?

thanks

its possible you have a bad spark plug wire. When you changed the distributer cap and roter were you sure to kep things in proper timing?

i just changed the fuel filter...well the main one...i changed the wires, plugs and cap and rotor and still nuthing...the only thing i can think of is the timing...cuz it really wants to start...lol....well i guess just slightly move the distributer to the side right and try and start it?

Are you getting spark? (dumb question, I know)
And by replacing the wires, plugs, cap, and rotor, it doesn't mean you're gonna get spark.
Easy test:
Pull one of the plugs (I take #1, just because), Hold the ground electrode against the head (grounding it), and have a buddy crank the engine.
Are you getting spark?
And if you are, are you getting fuel? Can you hear the fuel pump cycle before you try starting it?
Check the fuses. Maybe one of them is blown.
And if nothing you do works, even after taking it to the shop, load it with dynamite and get a better car...(just kidding, I'm not a Hon-duh fan...)

the engine turns so that rules out starter motor and battery but like psychorallyfreak said by changing cap and sparkplugs n wires doesnt mean u get spark we did same thing to my brothers jeep and it didnt start turned out to be the IGNITION COIL check there was 2 of them in my bros jeep so look for them his engine turned but didnt start until that was changed

i sware im going crazy but im so shure there are 2 coils i remember when my bros jeep wouldnt start i was goin crazy cause we changed the coil that atached straight to the distributor and still no spark finaly we had to take it to the mechanic he fixd the car and laughed saying there are 2 coils i was blown away cause i thought the jeeps elctrical system was messed or something

if there are 2 coils wheres the "magic" second one that i have never see but have only heard of in storys....
