fuel gage problem

i have a 97 olds aurora. the fuel gage works from full to 1/2 tank, after that, it starts going back up to full. can anyone help?? thanks.

it should correct itself as time goes by, mine did! A little fuel additive might help take the nasty stuff off the sensor. good luck!

ill try that. thanks. but, the info center starts going up with high numbers as well, as the fuel gage goes up.

A little fuel additive might help take the nasty stuff off the sensor. good luck!it seems to have fixed itself like you said. accept i didnt put any additive in yet. i bought this car from some guy who got it from a auction, and i got it for a steal. im the second owner of the car, and it drives like it is brand new. i will put some additive in anyway. thanks for the help.
