99 accord stalling

My accord this a.m. stalled on me, took three times to crank it and the RPM was trying to drop below 500 when stopping (pushing brake and clutch). It normally idles at 750. It stopped after a while. I live in Louisiana so no cold weather here. I just had a new battery installed yesterday because the battery was acting sluggish on cranking and the "eye" on the battery said it was time for a new one. Don't know if the two were connected. I just drove it again around lunch time and no problems with the idling. I wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to what this could be.

Thanks

it may be your ignition switch. honda has put out a recall on the ignition switch. call up your local dealer and give them your vin# to see if your car is in the recall...if so...free repair.

I had the ignition switch changed last year.

Have your alternator checked. I know it's a 99' and shouldn't be the problem.. do your lights go dim at night when your depress the clutch?
