cant get key out of ignition

it's a cherokee 89 4.0 limited i cant get the key out of the ignition :(

Does the key turn to all of the switch positions? If so, simply try spraying some WD-40 (or other pentrating lube) into the lock cylinder. If you can't turn the key to all positions smoothly, your switch is bad (happened to me).
