MAF Screen NON-removable?

I was going to remove the MAF screen today. Got to looking at it and it doesn't appear to be removable. The sensor isn't three parts bolted together.. it looks like one large piece. Maybe with an aluminum screen slid in but it doesn't come off. Is the stock MAF sensor made by Delphi? What's the dealio?

You can get it out, as I did. take it out, turn it over and sloooooowly and carefully tap it out w/a screwdriver or something..be SURE you don't break the wires in it. I actually got someone's out by prying around the edges w/my pocketknife, and then it just popped out.

Cool. I got ya. At first I didn't want to damage the screen thinking if it did any harm I could put it back in. I said forget it and pryed it out with a knife like you said. Thanks. There is a tiny bit difference in throttle response but barely noticable.

Yeah, it wasn't worth all the effort to me. I couldn't tell a difference either, even with a FIPK.
