I Have a 1995 Jetta III, it didnt appear that the drivers side door had a lock, but( being the sometimes too impatient to ask, i can do this attitude) i reset the battery (for a radio problem, turns out i can push1000 ect) and the alarm started. There was guy trying to help and this is what he did and said. If anyone can touch base on anything and either explain or correct or hlp it is MUCH appreciated.

He turned off the sound of the alarm so my battery is hooked up it just wont turn over. the blinkers come on and lights work.
He said that there was in fact a driver lock, but i guess its broken. They tried to turn off the alarm with the broken lock.
Also- he believes i'm missing a couple relays,.. one is the power lock Prior to all this i couldnt lock my side at all from inside or out but i could lock passenger side only from inside. Now he did something that makes the driver door be abe to lock, and when it is locked a little red little comes on. He says there needs to be power from there to the computer "head something"
does this relay exsists that i'm possibly missing? Can i over ride this with reseting the computer? this was the option i was looking at today? Is this a good idea, does it cause problems? should i just have it towed and get a $73 up there? After writing this that sounds like the wisest of the choices. The main problem is its stuck somewhere other than my house.
Thank you
