white spark plugs

Hey guys, I just pulled my spark plugs to switch to some brk7e's before I start spraying a 55 shot of zex. I noticed that the ends were quite white, much I know indicates a lean condition. That has me slightly worried. Why would the engine be running lean? It has only a little under 50k on it, and the only mods are i/h/e. What do you experts think?

I just installed an AEM fuel rail, FPR, and fuel filter at the same time as swapping out my plugs, so hopefully that should help.
