What would you choose?

Well, I've got my 4-1 header ordered and a bit over $500 in the bank. I was deciding on my next mod and I wondered what everyone would do?

Skunk2 stage 2 cams w/ valvetrain upgrade

or

Thermal R&D Stealth exhaust


I know I will have to save up more for the cams, but it seems to be the best bang for the buck at the moment.

thermal exhaust... nothing like a nice sweet exhaust tone.

Yes, get the thermal r&d exhaust You can get a camera and record the sound so we can hear how nice the sound is.:cool:

i would get the exhaust so you can get it put on at the same time as the headers to truly feel the difference

I would have to go with the thermal exhaust probably because I ordered one and should have it next week :D

I'm gettin the Skunk2 02 s2 cams myself, along with the cam gears in a couple months... so, I'm gonna have to vote for that one. You'll see much more power from them. Get an intake manifold also... I'm gettin mine monday :)

Go for the cams - you'll make more power and your Si 2" exhuast will work for now.

Jon, I agree with these guys. I'd go with exhaust cuz god damn....you'll love the sound of your car after that. Till now, it's been my fav mod up to now. You have your own style, taste and liking but may I suggest looking into the Apex'i N1. I have it on my car and man it sounds nice and it looks great. Just a thought! :)

screw the exhaust, the comparison between having a cool sounding car and having a faster car should speak for themselves. the exhaust will give you barely jack shit and the cams are good for decent hp increases. your stock exhaust will be more then adequete to handle the flow for the time being so get the frickin cams. besides the sound of a car reving to 9 grand is just as intimidating as an exhaust if not more. plus the thermal is like 400 right? well if i had more then 400 i wodl get the cams because who knows when you'll have enough for them again anyways. i say save up, get the cams, a vafc and a lightened flywheel and have a fuckin screamer bro.

uhhh those of you who think the stock exhaust is adequate fro upgraded cams should do some research. with your stock exhaust you would never get the implied 20hp they talk about. you need a new exhaust to flow enough air to expell the gases for you cams to do any good. go with the exhaust first, then start opening your engine up:cool:

oh and i just checked the prices for the cams and valvetrain upgrades, what can you do with 500 bucks? the cams alone are about 700. dont know about the exhaust but i dont think 500 could get you the cams and valvetrain upgrades unless you got serious hookups.
