Are my pistons f*cked? PICS

Well yea, the intake valves were bent, and the pistons have some dents in them. Is this enough for me to have to replace them?

yeah they will be fine, just make sure there pretty flush on the top and in hte valve indention (didnt push any metal out into where the valves go down into it) and you'll be fine. If it is you can shape it up with a dremel. They look good though, no excessive carbon build up or anything. Hope mine look that clean.

Ya man you got lucky only a couple valves. Like TheSilentChamber said clean them up with a dremel, get some new valves and a new tensioner slap it together and then finally you will be done. Good luck man it should not be hard, you have done the hardest part taking the head off.

I agree with the above advise, just be careful to catch all the metal dust. That stuff will cause very bad news if it gets on the cylinder walls or piston rings and you didn't clean it up. GL

The easiest way to do this with out pulling the pistons. Get the blue painting tape (the realy sticky stuff) tape off all areas you are not working on(the complete top of head area). Grind out the area thats messed up blow off and take tape off do same with other cylinders. This would be the best way then there is no chance of getting metal into the walls.

nah you dont have to replace them, the ones on my old 240sx were way worse, and i ended up using those pistons when i turboed it with no problem. just get those new valves in place and get her goin again. in fact i have some valves layin around if you need them dont know if i have all of them, but maybe....i'll take a look tomorrow

yeah like everyone said, file any sharp edges down so its all smooth, the reason no one explained is because any sharp spots on the piston can become hotspots ont eh piston and that can lead to detenation which is somthing that destroys motors

Here's a pic of the valves.
