just an opinion, but if youre looking for a turbo, might as well get a 14b then, its in the same price range give or take a few...

if you are already spending the money for a new turbo, a T28 would be the most sensible buy. putting a 14b on a 2nd gen requires extra money for the install. a T28 bolts directly on without having to change your oil lines etc. where as any other turbo will require an install kit unless you are McGuiver(spelling) :D

lmao... a T28! find me a T28 for less than $200, you can easily get a 14b for $100 then either buy the parts separatly or buy the kit, parts separatly still wont cost you much over $75!

isnt the install kit like $199? isnt a new 14b like $400+?
(not being a smartass, really want to know)

you can get a really low mile/rebuilt 14b for less than $200... install kit is $199 yes but you can buy them separatly for cheaper!

thx for the info, didnt realize a good 14b was that cheap
but wouldnt that make a good condition T28 just a lil bit more expensive(around the same price) than a 14b swap?

T28 turbos are expensive for their air flow... the 14b will flow almost as much as the T28 plus with other upgrades that you should do before upgrading the turbo, if those are done you will max out the T28 out quick! then if you go to the Big T28 that costs the same as the Evo III 16g + install kit and the Evo III 16g will flow more than the T28!

it's all about the flow...
and the original thread starter... why do you want a t-25?

upgrading to a used 14b may be from $100-300 bucks, where as a used t28 will cost more, like $400-500, and new $700-800. I've never considered a T28 from cost and lack of fast timeslips. The fact that it's bolt-on only helps if it is as cheap as a 14b, which it will never be. 14b's are cheap because they are stock parts, and T28's are aftermarket.
