Several problems with 95 Camaro, HELP!

I am having several problems with my 95 Camaro. I have asked a few people for their advice and I get something different each time. I'm new to the area and am skeptical about going to ANY garage. If I had the heads up, I may be able to specify what help I need before I get taken to the cleaners (again).
First, my AC is coming out of my defrost and floorboard vents, it should be coming out of my dash vents. Before this happened (for a short time) when I accelerated and the AC was on, I would lose my air until I reached a steady speed or let off the gas, then my air would return. Now it's just blowing through the defrost and floorboard vents.
Second, my Check Engine light is on and has been for approx 2 years. The codes showed it to be the EGR. I had a used one put in but the light stayed on. They cleaned my ports, but the light is still on. The light comes on after I have been on the road for a few minutes and usually comes on when I decrease from a steady speed.
Third, my driver door is sagging. Several opinions (one being that I will need welding) have been given. My door flung backwards in a high wind and has sagged since. If opened all the way, it will catch mid way closed, then catch again right before I shut it. With a little lifting it will close.
Fourth, When I climb a steep incline my car boggs down and makes a clunk once I have reached the top. I had a used rear end put in a couple years ago.
Sounds like the best thing to do is sell it, but I love my car. Can someone please give me a place to start?

well the a/c deal could be a number of problems, you might want to look into getting a new logicon. the door problem sounds like you bent the brackets, i think they are spot welded in so you will need to drill them out and weld em back in...

What is a logicon?

the atmosphere controls. the unit that has the three knobs on it above the radio, it controls the a/c and stuff and directs the air flow. it might be bad, i dont know if thats the only thing that could be wrong though...

I'll have it checked, thanks. What about the check engine light? If it's not the EGR what could it be?

you know.. I have a 94 z28 and the check engine light keeps coming on too...I went to several mechanics and they told me is nothing to worry about... that it was the EGR valve... and I already have the replace, as well as the conectors, and I just put a new LT 1 in the car and still shows for like a minute and then it comes off... and I also put a new computer in the car.. and still... I don't know what it could be... and I think is code 84 don't remeber for sure... but yeah.. what Im going to do with mine is buy the cluster blue light speedometer and just cover the check engine so it wont show anymore... again they told me is nothing... but I hate seeing my babe with a light on.. as well as most of you for sure

think twice about covering the light, in case somethng else happens and you don't see it come on

that's only 1/3 of it, also the intake manifold gasket blew and the left real caliper seized up, I said "F-it" and traded the car in.

If it were my logicon, would I still have the power loss only when I accelerate? Or would it be a constant blowing through the defrost and floorboards? When I accelerate I lose the A/C out of my dash until I let off the gas and then it will reroute from the defrost/floorboard to the dash vents. I had someone check my vacuum line and one fell apart in his hand. He said that battery acid ate through it. Said it didn't appear that the canister was leaking either. Not sure now. Thanks for you guys help and opinions because I have ideas to take to someone rather than just a problems.

Did you ever find the solution to your Camaro problems regarding the air vents? My camaro is beginning to experience a similar problem.
thanks,
Philip

Did anybody ever figure out the EGR problem?

well, the bogging is probly related to the EGR code, i forget exactly what it is, but there is something else that can set an EGR code... i think its the O2 sensors, im not 100% sure, or an IAT sensor, something like that. Any shop that is worth anything should be able to hook a tech 2 up to it, and observe the sensor data and track down what the faulty system is.
as far as the AC systems, sounds like a you possibly lost an AC actuator, thats gonna be a bitch, cus you gotta pull the dash to get to it. or at the very least the center of it, pull the radio, and al that.
your door dosnt have to be welded, it needs to be rehung. its not a big deal, go find a big guy friend, and have him lift on the edge of the door, while you loosen the bolts, this will move the door up, while he is still holding it up, retighten the bolts, when everything is tight, let him let the door down, and then trial fit it, be prepared, you might have to try this a few times before you get it right.

Phillip, I was told to check the canister for cracks for air loss or check the vacuum hoses that run near the battery. Battery acid may have leaked onto them and made them crumble. Neither was my case and I still have the problem.

89IROC&RS,
Thanks for the gentleman comment, I'm pretty use to the tit-for-tat comments. Gotta get em in when you can.
I hope that is not the problem with my air, but everthing else has been checked, except that. Thanks for the advice and I really appreciate the door info.
Could the bogging down have anything to do with the rear end? I had it replaced a couple of years ago and someone said that it may have the wrong gear ratio (I don't know what that really means). When I am going up an incline it really boggs and if it's very steep I have a clunk when I finally reach the top. Not always a clunk but most of the time. Actually, I can be driving at a steady slow speed and if I let off the gas it will also make that clunk. Any advice is appreciated.

cuda dude,
I still have the EGR light on. They went in and cleaned the ports but that did not solve the problem. Sorry, I just don't know. I do have a mechanic friend of mine who will be working at solving some of these little issues (appreciate the advice from 89IROC&RS on the door). He hasn't looked at it yet or driven it, he just told me to bring it by on his off time and he would see what he could do with it. If he can clear any of this up I will be sure to post some of his findings. Thanks guys.

first off, your quite welcome ;)
with your rear end its possible it wasnt set up proporly, if the gears are incorrectly spaced, they can theoriticly bind together under some situations, making them harder to turn, and thus causing your bog, and then come apart when load is releaced causing the clunk sound. im just shooting in the dark here, but it is a possiblity, i dont think a swap in gear ratios would cause this, just improporly installed gears.

If you have a used EGR valve , Maybe just clean the POS out. Or just eliminate the EGR system all together. Dunno if you'd pass emissions then. You 'could' get a hinge shim to finx the door temporarily , Usually last about a year or so , More or less depending on how much you open and close it. It's a lot cheaper and easier to do that pull the brackets out and re-weld them. Also , The door , when it flung open from high speed winds or whatever , Might have tore or stretched the metal around the mounting bolts , causing a teter in it maybe. I dunno , I'm stuck on my 92' . Rear end gears as he says , Just sounds like they were improperly installed. A/c system , what was previously posted sounds about accurate. Hope some of us can help you and save a little money for you =)

Phillip,
Sorry, I never have found the problem to the vents. I wanted to check in with you and see if maybe you have a possibility on the problem. Appreciate any info.
