Now (on hot days) if I run errands, stop, get back in, it cranks the starter, but will not ignite, it wont turn over. You can crank till battery dies, but wont start. Go back in 2 or 3 hours, and she starts right up.
I've called the dealers around here and they seem to have no clue what it is. I read in another forum that it may be some relay unit, but both honda dealers said that they've never had to replace them in newer cars, just the older ones.
This is just started and has happened twice now, leaving me stranded for a few hours.
I dont think its clogged injectors or fuel filters because it seems to start up after it cools down. Has anyone else heard of this happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I really dont want to spend 80 bucks on a diagnostic that wont find the problem.
Thanks

:iagree:
to buy one, its a #10 in here (http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=Accord&catcgry2=1999&catcgry3=2DR+EX&catcgry4=KA4AT&catcgry5=CONTROL+UNIT+%28CABIN%29) or check dealer price, shipping charge(~$10) may make it cheaper to buy from dealer.
to replace it, look here (http://www.v6performance.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25691)

Don't replace it, fix it. I had the same problem with my honda accord 92. I went on this website and found the remedy for it.
Basically, if you lay on your back and look up on the driver side, you will see a silver box with 2 10mm bolts, remove the bolts and the silver box will drop down so you can see the relay. It is brown color. With some effort and a long flat screw driver, you would be able to ply it out. After that, look at the soldering face, at the two long extreme ends, you should see 2 solder points with crack at the base, look carefully. All you need to do is retouch the two points without spreading the solder all over place. Put it back and walla. At least that was how I fix my car.
Good luck
