power problem????

lately i've been noticing that in my 97 accord whenever i turn the AC on it dims the dashlights for a split second. i don't know if this is a problem with the alternator or what. but it's sort of unsettling especially since i want to put a system in and if just turnin the AC on then it would be even more of a power drain with a system. any suggestions?

its normal for that to happen. because your alternator belt is connected to both your ac and alternator.so when you turn on your ac its working the engine more so its working the alternator more thats why when you drive and have the ac on the gas goes down faster.
