Paint types

Which is the best type of paint to use Acrylic or Enamel????

it really depends on what you like to use
i know that acrylic dries much faster than emamel

i prefer acrylics because they clean up easily... thats the only reason i can think of right now for using acrylics :rolleyes:

no wonder I have so much trouble cleaning up, all my paints are enamels.

Should get acrylics though as they seem to come in bigger bottles.
better wait till these paints runout first

I use enamel for the body and then use acrylic for the parts. though sometimes enamel colors look much more solid than acrylic. compare there AC chromesilver to the EN chromesilver they both look different when they dry up

I use enamels on everything. Yes they do take longer to dry but it gives you more time when painting larger bits.
If it dries to quick(acrylic's)you start to *pull* the paint back off and end up with a mess of lines and yuk looking paint.

That's where the air brush comes in. ;) I'd like to use enamels but I like how the acrylics clean up nicely.
