evap canister

Anyone have any idea where the evap canister is and exactly what it does. My car has no power on the hills. Been back n forth to dealer now the check engine light is on and this is what the diagnostics says: re evap canister.

Anyone have any idea where the evap canister is and exactly what it does. My car has no power on the hills. Been back n forth to dealer now the check engine light is on and this is what the diagnostics says: re evap canister.
The evap canister is located at the rear of the vehicle left side and is accessible from the bottom. It is part of the emission system. However the problem you have indicated, Most likely is cause by the Purge control valve. That is located on the front engine compartment its next to the front left strut tower. It has an electrical plug and to hoses mounted. This item will triger check eng and cause hesitation,
