hello everone,
when i first start my car everthing is fine...after car warms up and at an idle standing still, turning the steering wheel becomes noticibly harder to turn.if i rev up the engine a little the steering improves.....could this be bad fluid ? i never changed it..the car has 85000 mile (96 sts)
thanks in advance

Dear friend:
I'd love to know if you solved your steering wheel trouble, since I have the exact same problem on my 98 Cadillac and no one has been able to tell me what is happening.
Please let me know anything you have learned about this problem since I am really desperate. Thank you in advance.

I just bought a 99 STS with the same problem. Does anyone know what will fix the problem - a new pump is in my future I think?

I finally solved this problem by changing the steering pump that I had been told was OK. I hope this will help someone
