Five way top end race.

My friend and i (a 01 GT and a 90 GT) were going down I-85 (a 6 lane highway). When we passed a Porsche Carrera. My friend revved up at it and he porsche gave chase. Were were racing down the highway with the Porsche, i was behind, and the Porsche and GT were ahead battling it out. When we passed a Nissan 350Z touring editon. He gave chase also. Then a newer Maxima decided to play also. It was a 5 way race.

We found a open spot with a straight and we all decided to go. I was the first one to punch it considering i was the slower car. I punched it around 90mph and got around 1 car on everybody. The Porsche and 01 GT passed me around 110. The Maxima and 350Z never got passed me. The 350Z passed the Maxima, and the 01GT ended up pulling on the Porsch. I shut it down around 125-130mph. After i got out and talked to the guy in the 01 GT, he said he was doing shy of 145mph racing the Porsche. Nice.

So all in all it was a fun night, i got two kills and two loses at the same time, but its cool to be the middleman.
I say i got two kills because if those cars would have been faster they would have passed me in the 90-135 run that we did. Pretty good for a old run down V-8. Anyway i just thought i'd share that. It was a blast.

i am surprised that you were ahead of the 350. well, good job.

well the Z might've been a auto. plus you got the lead in the first place. the Z might've waited too long to hit the gas. for him to catch up to you in time. if you see him gaining on you in the rear view that means hes definitly going faster t hen you were.

case in point. i was driving with my friend in a 99 mazda millenia S with 210 hp. i wasn't sure if he wanted to race. so this freaking freind of mine who is riding shot gun with me decides to hit the hazards on him. and the millenia got pist off and took off. i wasn't even sure if he wanted to race or not, that i until i'm like 10-15 cars back. then i'm like oooh shit hes racing!! then i floored it. it was waaaay too late. i was gaining on him but i hit my limiter. i hit the limiter around half way thru the race. ( 120mph ) and i couldn't catch up.

after we got off, he told me he was only hit 110mph thru the whole race. which meant that if we hit it at the same time i would've destroyed him considering i hit 120mph in half the distance it takes for him to hit 110mph. and if i didn't have the limiter i might've past him at 140mph. he was still waaaaay ahead of me at the end of hte race though so i'm not goin front.

Its very true. But i dont think the 350Z or Maxima were pulling i think they pretty much stayed while the maxima droped back a little. If i would have gone more, the 350Z could have very well passed me. The Porsche and GT left all of us by like 12 cars or so. My buddies GT is some kind of freak car, i dont believe there supposed to be as quick as his. The GT only left the Porsche by around 1 or 2 cars.

uhhhh lets see...... K&N, Flowmaster 2-chamber, H-Pipe, 3-core radiator, Ram racing clutch.
Removed smog pump
Bumped timing
Automatic computer
3.23 gears (stock on most five-speeds are 2.73, switching tranny gave me a benefit).
