Racing Seats & Engine

OKay I have a 1987 Honda CRX and I just invested in some new racing seats and harnesses, since the old seats were on their last legs....50,000 miles ago...only problem is I have no idea where to bolt in the harness. Some said to bolt it to the floor in the back and others said no that's a bad idea. What's the word? I have no backseat so there's no problem with that. I'd like to drill as few holes as possible but i'm willing to do what i need to get the job done.

Also, my crx has a carburator right now...yeah weak I know, but common the car was only $250, so i'm not complaining, anyways i want a fuel injected engine and a place here in town quoted me $500 for an Si engine for my crx, but they don't do installs. How hard is it to install the engine? What do i need? How long will it take? I don't use the car on a daily basis so it's okay for it to "chill" in my backyard for as long as it takes.

seats/harnesses : check with racing shops in your area.

engine - dont replace it unless you have lots of time and money and will be left with a 10 Grand car in the end. it is nice to know what to do but learning on this car will not get you money at the end. better to get a hi-performance car and have something worthwhile at the end.

Why dont you tweak that CRX ? it should have plenty of modification info and cheap parts available

Just MHO

What do you mean by tweak it? Pieces for it are near impossible to find in my history of looking for them. And, i'm hoping to put in a few thou and then turn around and sell it to a college kid here in town and with my car buying experience a carburated engine in an import (like my crx) made me pretty much ignore the car and look for another and i'm afraid of that happening with this. I've already put in 1 grand (cd player, speakers, amp, sub, alternator, plus some tune ups) and i'm currently in a Junior College tryin to learn about this stuff so i think the engine swap is the next thing on my list...
thanks,
nate
