I was looking at a bomz cai on ebay, does anyone have one of these? They sell them for cheap, but not sure if they fit or what. Also im a little lost, all the cai come with breathers right or no? Because when i saw the pics of the aem cai it doesn't have a breather. Kinda new to modding so bare with me. Any feedback will be appreciated.

every CAI is basically a filter on a tube, not much difference
ask that seller through e-mail if it fits in your car

to answer your PM and this
the secondary air pump adds air to the exhaust, this assists the cat in getting to operating tempurature faster
it's also used on startups when your still idling above normal

if I am correct, it's the same logic as CAIs
putting a breather there will just get hot air in, aka useless
so sometimes it's replaced with a tube that connects to a hole in the CAI pipe, sharing a small amount of the air from the CAI instead

hey vin, this shouldn't cause any problems right, cause i figure the tube is already connected to the airbox. Thanks

I saw the Abd CAI with the summer extension put down 13hp to the wheels on a 1.8T. You might want to try that out. I think it's the most gains seen from a CAI on a 1.8T.

Hey if you want a good cold ram air induction system that will out perform pretty much everything on the market check out weapon-r systems they are cheap and have dyno testing against alot of major brands like aem k&n neuspeed bunch of others the secret weapon-r is there best system and you don't have to worry about your shit getting wet or dirty from it hanging down to low or position placement plus you can make it a cold ram air kit for around 200 bucks total including pipe filter heat sheild ram air system and hardware if you look around.

Look in the Eurotuner about 2 months ago they have dyno plot and sheet to match it. They were suprised too. That's where I saw it.

you sure it was a 1.8T?
turbo'd cars shouldn't gain much from a CAI
and don't get a short ram air
all you are doing is sucking in the hot air in the engine bay, get a proper CAI men
