2001 Maxima rear door will not open from inside or outside

Any help with this matter will be greatly appriciated.
I have a 2001 Maxima and recently enguaged the child saftey lock. Now that door will not open from the inside or outside? Does anyone have any suggegestions how to get it open so I can aleast remove the door panel and take a look.

thats weird, child safety could be broken. make sure the door unlocks. Give it a good tug, visit a body shop.
