What all do I have to do to a 1986 Mustang to get it in the low 12's? It is a carburated 302.

You're better off getting a fuel injected 87-93.

Another thing that helps without adding horse power for 1/4 mile times is heavy duty racing clutch and an ultra light fly wheel. If you already did the cams and what not then these added will make your pony go like a molested primate. Mih but what do I know?

fuel injection wont really give you any more advantage, infact if you get the right carb it is alot better, i personaly prefer fuel injection but thats because i dont know anything about carbs, exept that they are usally best for drag racing (dont ask me why but they are) ever notice most super fast dragsters have carbs? i think its because its more reliable and easier to tune. anyways, dont go out and buy a differant mustang, it shouldn't be hard to hit 12's in it with some time, money, and effort.
