too much smoke coming out

latley ive been noticing that when my car idles for a while and then i take off slowly or just floor it i get a lot of smoke coming out.. and the other night i had my car parked and running for like 30 min and when i got out to throw my garbage away i notice that she was smoking pretty bad. so i wanted to know just what could be fucked up on this thing.. i am tho gonna take it to school sometime soon and bring it into the show and and a OBD test on it and see how everything on it is doing. because i just bought the car 3 weeks ago and there can still be a problem that i havnt found.. please give me lots of feed back

samething is happening to my car and has for the past year.
your oil is leaking from bad seals or something like that, i'm not too familiar with internal engine parts. but its something that has to be fixed down the road but if its not smoking really bad when you just start it up and go then your ok for now

Could it also be because the engine inside is dirty or something? Because I remember my father's car was smoking like crazy everywhere he drove and he had to take the whole engine apart, bring it to the shop and they had to clean it or something. Then after it was put back in then the smoking stopped. Sure hope that's not the problem though.....

What color is the smoke and where is it coming from, the engine or exhaust?
