I dont know about the steering wheel area, but a clicking noise when you turn usually means your CV joints are bad. This happened on my old car. Might wanna get that checked.

I've noticed that it only happens under cold temperature but then it's not constant...just once in a while. Anywayz, my car is due for a maintenance checkup, so i'll have them check that out too.
Thanks for the replies^^

Well Skooby, if it is not a bomb, and it only happens on cold weather for the first minute or so of driving, there's a good possibility that it's your speedo.
Is it more of a chigga chigga chigga chigga sound? that goes faster once you accelerate, then goes away after 2 minutes?
Your speedo might just need a little lube here and there. Nothing serious.
I'm guessing it's not very loud at all, and sounds like it's coming from behind your instrument panel?

It's the same tone as the turn signal. And yes it's around the instrument panel area. Umm....what's a speedo? Thanks

A speedo is an undergarment-like garb for swimming with a garter most commonly worn by large hairy european men.
Okay seriously now, I meant the speedometer.

I don't think you need to fix it. I've have this problem for about 3 years now and it doesn't seem to cause anything. The shop is just trying to rip you off.
