help 95 gti idle

i just got my car and the car jsut started givin problems when i start the car the idle is jumping and the beats not constant and it also throws black smoke but after a min or so it goes back to normal does anyone know wwhat might be wrong with it..... i need help with this thing thansk for readin and its a 2.0L and there was k and n filter whcih i removed and got a stock one seems to be incomplete combustion of gas but dont know whats causin it black smoke seems to be cause of more gas less air mixture is there any way this can be fixed thanks

I read an old post of yours where you mentioned a 2.0L golf idling bad and spewing balck smoke. I seem to be having the same problem on my Golf mk2 but with a mk3 2.0l 8v engine. The car starts a little ropey and spews out bad smoke out the back which smells a lot like fuel and then the revs suddenly pick up erratically to 5000 rpm's at times.. stabalizes once im driving though...

Wondering if you ever fixed the fault on your car.. and if possible could you share the solution? would really appreciate it.
