Jetta IV VR6 throttle control issues

I just got a Jetta VR6 with manual transmission. When I accelerate and want to shift up, the motor is rev-ing up for some tenths of a second, (right after releasing the throttle pedal and pressing the clutch). What is wrong with it? I drove a friends Golf VR6 with the same engine and it doesn't do this, so it doesn't seem to be my driving skills. I guess it must be some sensor or the Engine Control Module... Appreciate any help.

You might try getting someone to reset the throttle body alignment. It requires a VAG scanner or simulator.
