If you've got traction control (I believe it's standard on 99+ GT's) and it's a mild winter, shouldn't be too much of a problem.

You still have to take it easy when theirs snow. The mustang is light in the rear and it's easy too lose control. Picking up a good pair of all season tires, or tires specifically for winter conditions would help greatly.

i have traction control in my 2000. it sucks. it just cuts the motor out when it kicks in. i have had my car the past 2 winters. it just plan sucks in the snow. and no my tires were not bold. be careful, if i were you, i would get a beater car for the winter this way you dont mess up your mustang. iput my car sideways in the ditch a few times in the snow. its hard to controll. same as camaros in the snow.

I don't use traction control at all in the snow, or ever. It cuts timing, and applies rear brakes, not what you want for that. I just hopped a curb in the Cobra cause I'm an idiot, and if I would have put it in a lower gear, I would have made it out of the spin.

It was raining bad, and I was going around a corner. I put it in 3rd gear at about 30-35mph and the rear just slid out, I overcorrected and didn't have the power to pull out.

Good news: it only bent one wheel and the tire's good.
Bad news: High School Drags are less tan a week away, so I might have to take thee Vette.

Cobra01,

Why do you run straight pipes on your car? That's not good at all for the performance of that mod motor. I hate to say it, but your 1/4 mile times are terrible. Before my 03 I had a 97 Cobra with just a catted X pipe with Magnaflow catback and a MAC CAI and my car my times were a full second and 9 mph better than yours...... I think you should reconsider your choice of exhaust or at least don't advertise your track times.....

hey i have a 94 Crown vic P71 with a 351, the last owner threw one in there, and it is horrible in the winters, even in rain. i just push the pedal a little and the back wheels spin like hell. and just for the hell of it, i was in a parking lot on a rainy day and i just floored it. the damn car spun everywhere. no trac control so i have a little of a hard time. my dad has a 99 grand marquis and the trac control does its job well. that car doesnt spin as much as the vic tho. cant wait till the 05 mustangs come out!!!

i drive a 92 grand marquis for now.. in dry the traction is perfect.. but in the rain and the snow.. hold on man because your going for a ride.
