1995 Jetta Warning Light Question, should be easy!

I have a 1995 Jetta GLX with a warning light on. I don't have the manual so I don't know what it means. It's an orange circle with 3 dashed lines. Anyone know what that means?

yea i got the same problem, it means your front brake pads need to be replaced, my problem is that they dont need to be replaced

Had the same problem- I replaced all pads, and checked out the entire system. You need to use VW or Kelsey-Hayes pads with the built in wires. After you drive the car around for a few days it should go back out, if not right away. I did take it to the dealer for a brake flush as well as recommended every couple years with ABS, and they found a "speed sensor fault" on each rear wheel as well. They cleared those codes, and the brakes seem fine. The brake flush (around $100) is worth doing but if you have a stick make sure the clutch travel feels right when you get the car back as they are off the same fluid tank- if not, let them know.
