get forged L/C rods and pistons, the block guard is a must. get urself a nice crank, or atleast have the stock one balanced and shot-peened or something.

Block guard isn't all that great. I'd just replace the sleeves by darton or eagle golden sleeves. Its much better but of course its a bit more money. I'd do high compression turbo set up. You might not boost as high but u get more power if its TUNED right. You'll be good with eagle rods and i believe weisco pistons is the way to go.Either get your stock crank worked on or just get an aftermarket one. Turbo cams are not really needed unless you wanna run really rich? I'd keep those stock.SRP pistons aren't the greatest but for the price they're pretty str8.

the first question that should have been asked is, how much hp do you wanna make ? is this for the street or full race? how much money do you have ?

I have a nice set of eagle H-Beam B16 rods for sale that would work nicely with your motor.

pm or e-mail me at Kunundrum@gmail.com and I can help you out with Building your motor since I am doing the same thing right now.

I was going to use the rods in the buildup but desided to go an other route.

Go to www.importbuilders.com

I'd just buy a short block from them. These guys are pretty good. They also have good info.
