i am in the middle of doing a rear brake job on my girlfriend's 2001 taurus and i have run into a problem. i had to break the one time use retaining nut that holds the bearing assembly to the spindle. i was told by the local parts store that it is a dealer only part and the dealer isnt open today and she needs to go back to school monday. is there a way to either modify this peice to work or a place where i could find it online? thanks a lot.

if i am not being clear as to the peice i am reffering to it is a 4 individual nuts inside a retaining nut...ok, i think i just confused myself. if you have the haynes manual on page 9-14 it is #4 in the diagram. anyway, hope this helps. any and all help is appreciated.

If you are lucky, you will have a local junk yard open Sunday with some newer Taurii. The part is dealer only, otherwise.
