1996 Ford Contour GL no spark HELP!!!!

1996 ford contour gl starting problem. has no spark, i swapped the coil from a running contour and still no spark, the only thing i can think of is to check that the crankshaft position sensor doesnt have any obstructions stuck to the magnetic end, which i havnt tried yet because its a bear to get to, so if anyone has any other ideas or sugestions it would be greatly appreciated.

crankshaft position wire connector was damaged, after repairing, it started and runs fine, thanks for at least looking at my post
