politics suck

I am so sick and tired of these damn presidential elections. I think everything about them absolutely suck. My friends and I can even mention Kerry or Bush anymore because we get into huge arguments about why Bush sucks and why Kerry isnt any better. One of my best friends is a diehard republican, why I cannot figure out, and he thinks Bush is like, a god. It really irritates me because he will not have an open mind. Yes, Im a democrat, I like Kerry, and I dont like Bush, but frankly, either way I really couldnt care less. I personally will probably see little to no change in my daily life no matter who wins. So what do I care? I cant vote anyway.

And these commercials keep getting worse and worse. These are what really bother me. I sit down to watch the Simpsons and Im bombarded with how Kerry voted 3,487 times to end funding for schools after promising he'd triple it and how Bush quadrupled our national debt. I figure, what the fuck is the popint of campaigning if all your gonna do is tell people why the other person sucks? :banghead:

Anyway, Im glad I cant vote yet, so I dont have to get all caught up in this bullshit.

This election is going to be a close one. And if you don't vote at all, there is a strong possibility that we might end up with the one we despise the most - greater of two evils.

Edit: Whoever wins, it will affect our lives, soon or in the long run. Try to figure out some way how Bush affected your life ever since he came into Office? He sure affected mine and my family's lives.

Yup - the president will have an effect on much of what happens. The Senate and House will have even a larger effect since they are the ones who actually write the laws - just keep that in mind.

But I understand the frustration. I have some friends who are as closed minded as anyone I've ever met. Then again, you'd have to be to stand behind a scum bucket like Kerry. :p
