I posted this in the thunderbird section and no one replied so im posting this here. I have a 3.8 v6 thunderbird. I was wondering if any muffler or a straight pipe set-up would make it sound like a newer v8 mustang. remember i have a v6 so i have no clue if i can get the v8 sound.

my friend has a 2001 V6 mustang with flowmasters on it. its a newer cat back dual exhaust system. it sounds great. i think its as close to a GT as you can get. everyone asks her if she has a V8. i have a V6 as well with Mac exhaust with a mac off road Hpipe, junk all the way around. if you were wondering about them pipes, stay away. i would go with flows. it also gives you good back presure. unlike others that will piss out and lose the little horsepower you do have. i know jegs has them for a pretty good price. good luck, let us know how you make out

no luck finding out with her. i guess she hates me. lol. i was looking thought, and its hard to find them for thunderbirds. maybe try a custem exhaust with your some flows or your fav. muff. Just make sure they dont give you to big of pipes. i would say 2 1/4 inch. you might to put up a post about what size to get and get other ppl advice.
