I am new to the forum but find it great it has solved a few puzzles for me. I do however have a question about interchanging an engine in a 1985 cherokee. It has the 2.8 V6 in it and I was wondering if the engine out of a 1989 chevy camero would work in its place. I know some will interchange but I am not sure about the year difference. the jeep of course is a carburated engine will the camero is throttle body injected. My big concern is will the intakes be interchanchable if the engine them selves are. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can switch any engine if you have the time and $$$. your biggest concern in this case may be the computer in the camero that controls the engine and accessories in the 89. If you move the engine you may have to move the computer and all the sensors, etc and you still may have issues making it work right.
