I own a 1984 318i. I just recently rebuilt the engine and it drives great but at high rpms the engine seems to sputter what could this problem be ?

Not enough gas getting to the engine. Not enough air. It could be many things. It could also be something in the electronics

Well Im sure you dont want to hear this but take it to a dealer and get a short test on it. It reads everything thats up with the car. All the problems, how everything is doing ect. Once they do that it will say what is wrong with the car. Just ask them to do a short test on it and dont replace anything.
