Hello Everyone,

I just bought a 2000 Ford Ranger with the 3.0 V6 with auto trans and I love the little thing. However I am a Ham Radio Phreak and I am getting Radio Frequency Interference from the fuel pump (from what I am led to believe from my reasearch). I have put an RFI filter on the power line to my Ham Radio and the interference still comes in and now I need to put anothy filter on the power lines to the fule pump.

What I need are the correct color codes for the positive and negative wires for the fuel pump at the tank.

Can anyone help me out with that?

Thanks in Advance :)

The 12v is PK/BLK and the ground is BLK

Thanks Freeclimber,

I'll give that a try and post my results. Over the weekend I did do a little research on the truck. I hooked up another antenna with a long feed line and walked it around the truck to see if I could pinpoint the strongest RFI and it was of course under the hood.

It makes me wonder about that fuel pump now. Does anyone know of an RFI filter for the alternator?

Thanks
