Hi, I just purchased a trunk lid with OEM spoiler from a junkyard off a 94 Vtec Del Sol. They sold it to me for 150, which I am very happy with. The trunk deck is PERFECT condition, no dents, scratches, perfectly flat and smooth, just is dirty from sitting in sun so long. Anyway, the problem is that it's Samba Green, which doesn't go well with my black Del Sol.
How would I go about doing a temporary repaint until next summer when I get the paint job/engine swap done at the same time?
The problem is that I want to take it entirely apart and paint all of it black for now, but I don't want to paint over the stickers underneath. How could I paint it without messing the stickers or honda emblem up?
Also if anyone is interested in a black trunk deck with I think about 3 small dents (more of a ding than dent) I'm selling one :-P

taking it to a body shop will be your best bet. they will be able to apply a couple coats of paint, along with a clearcoat, and should be able to match the color of your car. if you just want a crappy temporary paint job, go to maaco and have them spray it with a couple coats.

Maaco is awful if you pay for the cheapest paint job. I advise u not get it done by them. And grats on the spoiler. U got 2 things for the price of 1! LOL

Yea I'm pretty excited I found the trunk deck, I've searched far and wide for one for sale with no luck. My friend went to honda dealer to get a spoiler ordered, they are no longer in production.

he said he wanted a temp paint job, and they are good when it comes to that. plus, just getting a trunk painted is pretty cheap... when he gets his car repainted next year, he should get it sanded and primered beforehand anyways. could just do that to the trunk anyways. beyond that, just get a paintsprayer and start spraying away. its up to him.
