I currently own a 98 Dodge 1500 and am having a lot of problems with it...I have really been looking at some 2000 F150s and I really like them, but I wanted to know if there are any "common" engineering flaws, recalls or things to look for when buying....any opinion is helpful....i just need some info before buying....thanks, tjstepan

That's awesome, hahahaha!!! There's no issues with the 2000 F150s that i'm aware of, great trucks. But i agree with dead-man-walking; look at the '04. The most superior 1/2 tonne ever built. And don't worry about the price tag...Ford is clearing new vehicles to make room for the '05 models so you'll get a good buy and probably 0% interest if you want to finance.

hey i call em as i see em !!! in cutting cost here problems are not fixed right, and problems we have with engines the cheap way is to decrease the tolerance !! not fix the real problem !! "round hole square peg... make the hole big enough to fit" ahhh nooo

ever known the transfer case to shift out of 4x4 or the shifter to jump into neutral while towing or off roading ? yeah it happens!!
